Winter in Leavenworth, Washington is spectacular and if you haven't been, you should go during the Festival of Lights, it's like being in a Hallmark Christmas movie. Stopped for dinner at the Baren Haus (the bear house) and enjoyed typical German fanfare including the beer.  A true classic among beer lovers and reminds me of my days in Germany. In the glass, the Hofbräu Original is bright golden yellow with a snow-white head of foam. A delicately spicy scent fills the air. Light malt notes and a fine hop aroma provide a harmonious interplay. Very full-bodied and particularly mature taste.
