Meet CSG | Experience the Culture | Randy & Carter
In this Meet CSG culture spotlight, Randy — CSG's Chief Marketing Officer — and Carter, a Technical Account Manager (TAM), share what makes working at Cook Solutions Group different.
Carter describes the environment at CSG as one built on teamwork and a genuine family atmosphere — values that show up not just in day-to-day work, but in how the company shows up for the community.
Cook Community Builders & the Slingball Tournament
One of the clearest expressions of CSG's culture is Cook Community Builders, the company's volunteer and giving arm. Randy and Carter co-founded Slingball — a charity tournament created in memory of their mother, who passed away in 2005 — to help raise money for the fight against multiple sclerosis (MS).
What started as a small gathering of 12 players has grown into a tournament of over 350 participants, raising more than $220,000 for MS research and awareness over the years. Cook Solutions Group has been a cornerstone of that growth — providing labor, event volunteers, and financial support that makes the event possible at the scale it runs today.
As Carter puts it, without CSG, it would be a lot harder to put this event on. Cook Community Builders enables the team to build event sets, staff the tournament, and fund it in ways that wouldn't be possible without the company's backing.
What This Means at CSG
Randy reflects on what it means to be part of a company that embraces and endorses causes like this — and it's a sentiment shared across the organization. At CSG, community isn't a marketing tagline. It's built into how the company operates, how teammates support one another, and how CSG shows up beyond the walls of the office.
