Can I use the address at the alarmed location to identify my account?

Yes, you can use the address at the alarmed location to identify your account. However, because a single address may have multiple accounts associated with it, providing your full account number — including both the receiver ID and account number — is always faster and more reliable. For example: S776-1234.

When you contact the monitoring center, the operator needs to pull up the correct account quickly to take appropriate action. If an address has multiple accounts — which is common at locations with multiple alarm zones or accounts that have been migrated over time — an address search can return more than one result. Providing your full account number eliminates any ambiguity and gets the operator to the right account immediately.

If you are unsure of your full account number, your verbal passcode confirmation can also help the operator identify your account in conjunction with the address. The receiver ID is the prefix before the dash in your account number (for example, S776 in account S776-1234). If you need to confirm your account number, contact CSG support.
