Meet RemoteView. A Powerful CSG Managed Services Platform
RemoteView is CSG's managed services platform. It keeps ATMs, ITMs, security cameras, alarms, and access control systems running — remotely, proactively, and without requiring on-site technician visits for most issues.
In this video, Levi Daily, CSG's Chief Technology Officer, walks through where RemoteView came from, what it covers, and how it works.
What Is RemoteView?
RemoteView applies standard IT management practices to the specialized technology financial institutions run every day. Think of it as the same remote monitoring and patching your IT team uses for servers and laptops — applied to ATMs, ITMs, cash recyclers, cameras, and alarm systems.
The platform is built on three principles:
- Simple — easy to use without specialized training
- Open — compatible with most major manufacturers and platforms
- Secure — outbound-only communication, no open inbound ports
How Did RemoteView Start?
CSG's founder Brian noticed a problem. ATMs are Windows computers — but nobody was managing them like Windows computers. No regular patching. No remote diagnostics. No proactive monitoring.
He asked Levi Daily to fix that. The result was RemoteView.
The platform started with ATMs. It has since expanded to cover every technology category CSG installs and supports.
What Does RemoteView Cover?
- ATMs & ITMs — remote monitoring, Windows patching, hard drive encryption, OS upgrades, remote repair
- Teller Cash Recyclers — fleet health monitoring, security patching, remote issue resolution
- Video Surveillance — daily outage monitoring, quarterly audits, Windows patching, remote diagnostics
- Alarm Systems — proactive equipment monitoring, false alarm reduction, remote diagnostics
- Access Control — remote monitoring and support for Lenel OnGuard, S2, and other major platforms
All of these are visible in one place — Cook Command Center. One dashboard. One login. Full fleet visibility.
How Does RemoteView Handle ATM Fraud?
On Christmas Eve, CSG's founder called Levi — ATM skimming incidents were rising fast. Instead of treating it as a separate security problem, CSG built the answer into RemoteView.
The result: Suspicious Activity Notification (SAN). It combines ATM transaction data with camera analytics to detect skimmer installations before fraud occurs. It is now deployed at institutions nationwide.
What Is the Network Operations Center?
RemoteView handles routine monitoring and patching automatically. But behind it is CSG's Network Operations Center (NOC) — a team available 365 days a year, including holidays.
When an ATM goes offline at 2 AM on a holiday weekend, the NOC responds immediately. No waiting for business hours. No scheduling a technician for a problem that can be fixed remotely.
The NOC handles what automation can't: context, judgment, and rapid response.
Why Do Financial Institutions Choose RemoteView?
Most community banks and credit unions have small IT teams. They don't have the bandwidth to:
- Patch ATMs and ITMs on a regular schedule
- Run daily surveillance outage checks
- Monitor alarm system equipment health
- Review access control credentials when staff turns over
RemoteView handles all of it. And the team doing the monitoring is the same team that installed the equipment — so they already know how it's configured and what normal looks like.
